Hogwarts is a British Boarding School of wizardry in the mountains, hidden and protected by extremely powerful spells. It welcomes Muggle-borns, Half Bloods and Pure-bloods alike from all over England, who are sorted into either Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Gryffindor or Slytherin.

The Ministry of Magic is located somewhere just below the surface of downtown London. There is a magnificent mahogany-panelled entrance hall with a highly polished, dark wood floor. There is a beautiful fountain in the middle, and many fireplaces to the side.

Hogsmeade is the only entirely wizarding village in Britain. As Hogsmeade is located just down the road from Hogwarts, the school and the village have always shared a special relationship. On select Saturdays throughout the school year the village is filled with Hogwarts students, who are allowed to visit beginning in their third year.
